Standards development

Standards department takes the responsibility for the development, publication, and distribution of Czech standards (CSN) in compliance with Act No. 22/1997 Coll., on technical requirements for products and amendments to some acts, as amended.

It ensures especially

The development, publication, and distribution of Czech standards, other standards documents and publications related to standardization,

Co-operation with international and European standards organizations ISO, IEC, CEN, CENELEC, and ETSI,

Fulfillment of duties and obligations resulting from the  membership in ISO, IEC, CEN, CENELEC, and ETSI,

Cooperation with other national standards organizations,

Maintenance of the collection of Czech standards,

Guidance and coordination of activities of Czech technical committees

Development of Programme of standardization,

Contractual relations concerning the development of Czech standards and is concerned with economical use of financial means from the state budget in this area,

Preparation of announcements of Czech standards in compliance with Act No. 22/1997 Coll. for their publication in the ÚNMZ Official Journal,

International meetings of working bodies of international and European standards organizations in the Czech Republic.
